Burley Coho XC
für den Hundetransport
Den Burley Coho XC habe ich seit Frühjahr 2022 im Einsatz. Ich nutze ihn seither hauptsächlich in den Bergen.
Demnächst mehr dazu in diesem Beitrag.
Der Anhänger hat eine Art Reling bekommen, damit Napoli im Falle einer Bremsung nicht nach vorne heraus fliegt.
The trailer got some sort of railing so that my dog does not fly out to the front when I have to pull the brakes heavily.
Der Einstieg in einen Einspuranhänger ist immer ein wenig unkomfortabel für den Hund. Für einen gehandicapten oder alten Hund ist das definitiv nichts. Der Burley Coho hat einen etwas tieferen Einstieg als der Aevon STD.
The Burley Coho is a bit easier to jump in than the Aevon STD. But nevertheless a single wheel trailer is less comfortable than a two wheel dogtrailer. Nothing for a handicapped or old dog.
Am Burley kann leicht ein "Schmutzschutz" befestigt werden, so dass dem Hund der Schmutz des hinteren Fahrradrades nicht ins Gesicht fliegt.
A mudprotection can easlily be attached to the Burley, so that no mud from the back wheel of the bike hits its face.
Über die Schwanzprotektion muss man sich beim Burley keine Sorgen machen.
The Burley has a protection so the dog's tail won't get into the spokes.
Durch die Befestigung des Burley Coho an der Hinterradnabe sind Handling und Fahrkomfort etwas anders als beim Aevon. Das An- und Abkoppeln vom Rad ist sehr viel einfacher.
The attachment of the Coho to the back wheel instead the seatpost (Aevon) brings a different handling and a deviating riding comfort. Compared to the Aevon, attaching and detaching the trailer is much quicker.
Das Wenden mit dem Burley scheint mir etwas mühsamer als mit dem Aevon.
Manouevers like this turn on a narrow path seem a bit more laborious as with the AEVON.
Das Durchkurven solcher Passagen scheint mit dem Burley Coho etwas einfacher weil er in Kurven nicht so weit ausschert.
Riding through obstacles seems easier because the trailer does not swing out that much as the Aevon does.
Wer den Anhänger oft im Camper oder Van transportieren möchte, sollte im Auge haben, dass er für ein verstaubares Maß erst demontiert werden muss. Der Verbindungsbügel zum Fahrrad als auch das Rad und Schutzblech lassen sich werkzeugfrei demontieren.
Sehr gern mag ich den Ständer des Coho.
If you want to transport your trailer by car or camper van, keep in mind that it is a long vehicle. The yoke can be taken away tool-free as well as the wheel and fender.
By the way: I am a clear fan of the kick-stand.
